Women Who Brunch is a community of women who love connecting, networking, and learning from each other over the most important meal of the week...BRUNCH! We are trying to solve for the problem of “how do you make friends as an adult?”, while combining exploring new activities and businesses around the Orange County, NY & Hudson Valley, NY region.

11 Years of Brunching (Established 2013):

Our inaugural brunch event kicked off in August 2013. I was a young gal in her 20’s living in NYC. There was no shortage of events and things to do in the city. Yet, I would go to tons of events but at the end of each night I’d come home craving more meaningful connections.

At the same time, in the summer of 2013, Sheryl Sandberg, the COO of Facebook, had just launched her new book called “Lean In”. Circles were made, conversations about women leaders and achieving their highest potential and ambitions were happening; it felt like a rebirth of women empowerment, kicking ass and breaking down the glass ceilings.

Which brings me back to starting WWB, with this idea that food is a connector and this need for more women connection. Combining my event planning and marketing experience, I started curating these intimate dining experiences and discussions to learn valuable lessons and insights from amazing women.

To date, we’ve had some amazing speakers from GE, TIME, Buzzfeed, YouTube Celebrities, Authors, Influencers and Content Creators, TED Speakers, to many entrepreneurs.

Brunch events are held on the weekends in Orange County, NY & Hudson Valley, NY regions with a guest speaker, and new brunch spot each time. This allows for more deeper connections with fellow women, while learning from our speakers, and trying out a new brunch spot. It’s a Win, Win, Win really.

Some of our other events include activities to just gather new friends and do new things. Previous activities include: Candle making, wine tasting, pottery, and lavender picking. Event recaps can be found here.

If you’re a foodie, enjoy meeting new people, learning something new, or just love brunch and want to discover a new restaurant - you're our people!
